Shrinking Airfare Costs - Watch Your Step!

"Now remember," Allison told her friend Megan at the security checkpoint, "I'm going to be super tiny after this, and I'll need your help getting around the airport. But it's the cheapest way to fly these days."
"Yeah, yeah," Megan said absently with a roll of her eyes. Money had never been a problem for her privileged family, so she idly wiggled her socked toes while scrolling through her feeds, impatient to get through security.  
Allison took a deep breath and stepped into the kiosk. A pale orange light suffused the chamber and gradually the world around her grew larger and larger.
When the process was finished, she walked back into the security line. "This is so amazing!" she called up to Megan.
"Shit," Megan murmured, "I don't know if we're going to make the flight."
"No, it's okay, we have plenty of--"
In her impatience, Megan carelessly stepped forward to move through the scanner. Allison watched in horror as her socked foot lifted off the floor and hovered over her. Time slowed and she could make out every piece of grime on the bottom of her friend's sock as it began its inevitable descent.
"MEGAN! WATCH OUT!" Allison screamed, but it was too late.
The massive foot landed on her, pressing her into the disgusting airport floor. The powerful smell of Megan's feet washed over her for just a moment before the sudden compression squelched Allison into a thin greasy smear.
Megan barely felt the sensation and picked up her foot as soon as she realized the mistake. She stared in fascination, looking at the twisted, mangled remains of her once friend plastered to the sole of her sock. She knew she should feel guilty or sad, but she couldn't resist the thin smile spreading across her lips.
"I always knew traveling coach was the worst, but I hope you enjoy your custom seat inside my shoe."
